BACKGROUND:
Successful completion of a Senior Project is required of
all students in order to receive a high school diploma
from the American International School/Dhaka (AIS/D).
Senior Project is a 12th grade course and entails
the application of skills that students have acquired
throughout their secondary school years. Successful
completion of a Senior Project is required for all
certificate and non-IB students in order to receive
a high school diploma from the American International
School/Dhaka (AIS/D).
The purposes
of the project are to enable students to learn more about
Bangladesh and the region
in which they are
living as well as to experience the process of selecting,
organizing, researching and writing a major report. Students
need to demonstrate their abilities to think critically,
manage time, research, organize their writing and make
oral presentations.
Senior Projects
are written with the support and supervision of a Senior
Project advisor, however, opinions expressed
in Senior Project papers may not represent those of
AIS/D.
All Senior Project
papers are subject to copyright protection and may not
be reproduced and reused without
permission.
Senior projects
are available in three ways: (1) Bound copies are in
the library; (2) access through
the library’s
online
catalog (Destiny); (3) access through the
library’s
web
page. Electronic access also provides keyword searching. |
