Admissions Eligibility

AIS/D accepts diverse international and national students from varied academic backgrounds. Our 650 students hail from over 40 different nations bringing a wonderful international perspective in instruction and learning.

The American International School/Dhaka (AIS/D) is committed to the development of the whole person. It offers a holistic, academically challenging, English language education, designed to develop individuals who are both independent learners and international citizens.*

Students are admitted to AIS/D and placed in grade levels after due consideration of: age, school records, achievement level, emotional and physical maturity, and the results of an academic screening administered by the relevant school Counselor.

Any placement at AIS/D is conditional on the student's ability to perform satisfactorily in the grade level and/or program assigned.
