AIS/D’s Curriculum Framework
The
American International School/Dhaka recognizes that curriculum
development is an evolutionary process which is updated as new
discoveries are made about
our own teaching and student learning, as well as in the research field of education.
Consequently, the American International School/Dhaka has adopted eight theme-based
standards as its curriculum framework.
All
teaching and learning units, lessons, assessments are identified
under a specific PreK-Grade 12 standard
and leveled benchmark. The interdisciplinary
nature of the standards allows students a greater opportunity for inquiry and
for teachers to provide examples of current and relevant connections in instruction.
