Mission Statement

The American International School Dhaka (AIS/D) is committed to the development of the whole person. It offers a holistic, academically challenging, English language education, designed to develop individuals who are both independent learners and international citizens. *
 
 

Independent Learners
Learners who have acquired the essential knowledge, skills and dispositions for the 21st century. Through active engagement with the curriculum, they have achieved enduring them to apply their learning appropriately in new situation.

International Citizens
Learners who have explored an international knowledge base from multiple perspectives. They have achieved enduring human understanding, are open to other people’s perspectives and are empathetic to other people’s situations.

 

AIS/D believes that individuals who are both independent learners and international citizens are ideally equipped to make successful contributions in higher education, in the sphere of work, in the communities within which they live, and in the wider world. A/SID strives to empower all students to assume responsibility for their own actions and to be life-long learners. The Academic program incorporates the best principles and practices of American education as it serves a diverse local and international community
