All students, regardless of nationality and age must first meet with the respective School Counselor for which the student is seeking admission, prior to being admitted to the school. Successful admission is based on a variety of criteria, which includes consideration of age, school records, achievement level, and emotional and physical maturity. All decisions regarding the final placement of students is made by the respective School Principal and School Counselor following the assessment by the Counselor.
The Registrar will arrange for the student to have an interview and placement assessment with the relevant School Counselor upon arrival in Dhaka.
Disabilities: AIS/D does not have an extensive program for students with a moderate to severe learning, behavioral or emotional disability. Professional services for students with such needs are not always available in Dhaka and AIS/D has limited resources for students with these disabilities. Please be advised that any placement at AIS/D is conditional on the students ability to perform satisfactorily in the grade level and/or program assigned.
