Class Trips

Middle School Class Trips extend and apply the school curriculum to an interesting and unfamiliar outdoor/cultural setting. Middle School students travel with their grade level classmates to a particular site in the South Asian/Asian region.

Middle School Class Trips are designed to help students develop the AIS/Dhaka Dispositions, which are as follows:
Open Minded
Curious
Reflective
Empathetic
Collaborative
Persevering

Each Class Trip will have the following components in place.

Adventure Education
Students will develop team building and problem solving skills by taking part in safe and developmentally appropriate outdoor physical and intellectual challenges.

Intercultural and Environmental Awareness
Students will learn about the culture and the ecology of a particular site and region.

Service Learning
Students will take part in a service learning activity(s) that will benefit the local population and/or the environment.

Trips sites are chosen and itineraries are developed to ensure that students have a safe and positive learning experience.
