THE PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION OF THE AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF DHAKA (AIS/D)

If you are reading this, chances are you’re an AIS/D parent or teacher. CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The PTA has been an international institution for a very long time - formed to be a vehicle of communication and mutual support among school administrators, faculty, parents and students. We have a core committee of officers and PTA representatives who organize a variety of events such as a Halloween Carnival, a Book Fair and an International Fair.

The PTA also operates a campus store that sells school supplies and cool logo items. Current hours of operation are 11:30am to 1:30pm every school day.

The PTA representatives from each grade have a most critical role. Every new family enrolling at AIS/D, no matter what time of the year, will be contacted and welcomed. Being an active PTA member promotes a wonderful sense of family among our diverse student population. It is also a great way to meet other parents and to learn about what the school and the community have to offer. We have meetings the last Monday of every month in the Middle School Assembly room.
