Application Procedure

AIS/D will use the international school job fairs as the primary means for teacher recruitment. We will attend fairs scheduled for January and February 2008. We are registered to attend recruitment events in Bangkok, Thailand (Search-Associates & ISS); Waterloo, Iowa (UNI); Boston (Search-Associates); and New York City (ISS).

AIS/Dhaka will also research databases of available candidates in order to contact those individuals with personal and professional profiles that match our needs. We seek teachers committed to their own professional growth, who value ongoing professional collaboration, who work well with a diverse student population, who appreciate a community-based school concept and who understand the challenges and opportunities of living and working in a developing nation.

Personal interviews are required, so serious candidates are encouraged to attend one of these fairs. In some cases, interviews can be arranged outside of the fairs in locations convenient to both AIS/D administrators and the candidate.

All candidates truly interested in positions at AIS/D are encouraged to communicate with us prior to the fairs. To guarantee that we will at least meet and greet during the recruitment period, please send an email with the following:

  • A personal statement indicating your professional philosophy, as well as the reasons for your interest in AIS/D
  • The specific position for which you are applying
  • A complete resume which includes a list of professional references
  • A digital photograph should accompany this e-mail.

Thank you again for your professional interest in AIS/D and regards from Bangladesh!
